That’s all folks!

There are only so many hours in the day, so many days in the week, and in order to pursue other interests, I must hang-up the mic for this podcast.

This podcast was largely an experiment, as I had never done anything like it before. It evolved from a round-table discussion show with my friends and co-hosts, to an actual play podcast and then finished with a series of interviews.

It has been great fun and I’ve enjoyed interacting with my guests and the many listeners who’ve emailed me and joined me on Google+ and Twitter.

Will I ever return to podcasting? Perhaps Flagons and Dragons will reboot somewhere down the road, or perhaps I’ll become involved with another podcast. Who knows. I may be closing shop, but I’m not throwing away the key.

What’s next for me? Aside from enjoying some games in my new-found free time, I’m currently writing a script for a gaming related web series which I plan to produce.

Thanks again for joining me on this ride.

Until next time, keep rolling those dice!

-Carl

Thank you for 16 wonderful episodes of Gamma World. They were not only entertaining, but also interesting, giving new ideas on how it could go down in the setting. I’ve missed the rather sporadic games, and wish it could continue. I hope things do get reborn, better and bigger than before, but until then, you have my gratitude.

Okay, that’s just a sad moment for me. I really enjoyed your casts and Loved the game sessions. Ever thing of adding to the stable with other productions that follow the F&D formula?
Regardless, good luck on your endeavours and hopefully F&D will return.
May the natural 20s be yours.

Thanks for all the great sessions! I’m an avid homebrewer and gamer, so I felt right at home listening to your shows. You had the only real Gamma World Actual Play, and not only was the podcast entertaining, but it was worth listening to for great ideas.

I appreciate your efforts and wish you success in the future.

I tip by brew you to, gentlemen. Roll some 20s and tip back a pint.

ahh bummer. this was one of the better podcasts out there. it was evident you guys were having a lot of fun in the actual plays and did a great job sharing that sense of sitting around the table rolling dice and drinking good beers. good luck in your future endeavors.

Sorry to hear thats the end. I recently got into your podcasts and have really enjoyed them. You make a very good interviewer with a very likable manner and great content too. The world of gaming podcasts is poorer without F&D. Best of luck with everything

Thanks for listening Nick, and thanks for taking a moment to comment. While the podcast is at an end and some of the timeliness of the content may fade, I felt I should leave it online. I’m glad you got some enjoyment from it and wish you happy gaming!

That is really sad to hear. I really really like the podcast. I have never laughed so hard at a podcast then when listening to your actual play of Gamma World ( on episode 3 right now).

I really hope you guys start it up again. The world is missing a great thing.

Thanks Tyler! The Gamma World sessions are probably my favorite too. We made plenty of mistakes with the rules as we learned it, but it certainly didn’t cut down on the fun. Keep rolling those dice!

Bummer to hear that your not going to be pod-casting anymore especially that I just recently found you.

I’ve just recently started to look into actual play pod casts and of the ones I’ve tried so far only yours has the character and liveliness I like in my games.

Good luck with your future endeavors.

Thanks! If you’re having some laughs with the actual play series, maybe you’ll be interested in the sitcom I’m working on. Here’s the logline for it, but this is all a work-in-progress, so things could change:

“On the verge of going broke, a washed-up, one-hit-wonder fantasy author is hired to manage a new promotions team for the Morgan Schay Publishing Company and get things back on track. The misfit band has difficulty working together, so the protagonist suggests a daily roleplaying game at lunch to build the team and earn their respect. The team struggles with each other and the never-ending list of strange and problematic clients that the company’s eccentric owner sends their way.”

I’ll probably send out some announcement to the list or the Facebook page when it get’s closer to Kickstarter launch.

Such a shame. I just started listening to this podcast recently and found it very enjoyable. As someone who is about to be a first time dad, I enjoyed listening to you guys talk about gaming with your kids. Also Gamma World actual play is one of the few actual play podcast that I cared for. Haven’t listened to the Warhammer one yet. Also, I’ve never been much of a beer guy, but you guys made me want to try some out. Maybe I just haven’t had good beer.

Good luck to your future endeavors.

Thanks for taking some time to post a comment. And congratulations on the new addition to the family!

For me, the podcast was enjoyable and a wonderful experience. But I now have a web series on the horizon, and that’s a project that never would have been realized if I’d continued with Flagons & Dragons.

We’re in the process of finalizing the script for a sitcom, Ghost of a Chance, and should begin filming in July.

If you’re interested in a comedy based on a paranormal investigation service, stop by our Facebook page or the Google Page for updates.
